Comment Bank

Problem:

I love the comment bank in Google Classroom but I wish it was available in all of my docs - not just when viewed through Google Classroom. I want to be able to quickly copy from a bank of my own comments and phrases.

Solution:

Use this simple Comment Bank add-on to save a bank of comments in a spreadsheet that will be available in any doc from a sidebar. Watch the video below to see how this works.

FAQs:

How do I add another collapsible section?

Just go to the spreadsheet (use the blue button or search Comment Bank in your Drive) and add in another column. The first cell in the column will become the button heading and any comments underneath will hide under that collapsible button.

How do I delete a comment?

Go to the spreadsheet (use the blue button or search Comment Bank in your Drive) and delete the comment/s you don't want.

Is there a way to import the comments I have already saved in Google Classroom?

We hoped this would be possible but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way to access your saved comments in the Classroom comment bank programatically. If anyone can think of a way to do this, do get in touch!

How does this app use my data?

It doesn't! All of your comments are stored in a spreadsheet in your own MyDrive - not in the app itself. It doesn't collect any personal data, just tries to make your life a little bit easier. Take a look at our privacy policy for more boring information.
